Less pressure.
More presence.
Simply space to be.
The Veranda started with a feeling.
Front porches. Summer nights. Being surrounded by people you love without needing anything fancy. I wanted to create a space that brought that feeling back - something warm, simple, and welcoming. A place where people could gather, celebrate, and create in a way that felt like them.
The Veranda is truly a family effort.
My sister, my mom, my husband - each of them has played a role in bringing this space to life in different ways. From the physical space itself to the small details, it’s been built with care every step of the way.
And I think you feel that when you walk in.
It’s not just a space - it’s something that’s been created and shared with intention.
What it’s like to work with me
Clear, Thoughtful Communication
From your first inquiry to the day of your event, you’ll always know what to expect. I prioritize clear, timely, and honest communication so you can feel confident every step of the way - without second guessing or chasing down details.
Detail-Oriented, Without the Overwhelm
With over a decade of experience in nonprofit and event work, I know how much the little things matter. I’ll go above and beyond where it counts - helping you think through the details - while still keeping things simple and manageable.
Supportive, Not Overbearing
I’m here to support you, answer questions, and help guide you when you need it - but your event stays yours. You have the freedom to create something that feels true to you, without added pressure or unnecessary complexity.
My goal for your experience
✓ To feel calm and supported (not overwhelmed or unsure)
✓ To feel confident in your decisions (without overthinking every detail)
✓ To be present in the moment (actually enjoying the experience as it’s happening)
✓ To leave feeling proud of what you created (something simple, meaningful, and truly yours)
Hi, I’m Danielle - here to make things feel a little easier.
For over a decade, I’ve worked in nonprofit communications, and I’m also the founder of Sarnia Speaks, a grassroots initiative where I’ve planned and hosted community events centered around connection and conversation.
At the heart of everything I do is bringing people together. As a content creator, I’ve built connection online - but I found myself craving more of it in real life, too. The Veranda was born from that feeling. A space where people can gather, slow down, and experience something meaningful together.
Why The Veranda?
The Veranda was designed to feel different from traditional venues - no pressure to make things perfect, just a space that feels easy to step into.
A calm, low-pressure space
No noise, no rushing. Just a private environment where you and your people can settle in and enjoy the moment.
Completely yours while you’re here
You don’t need a huge production to create something beautiful. The Veranda gives you the space to do something intentional, without overcomplicating it.
A simpler way to host something meaningful
With tables, chairs, flexible layouts, and a collection of decor items available, you have what you need - without needing to source everything from scratch.
Thoughtfully equipped
Light-filled, welcoming, and accessible
With natural light throughout the day, warm evening sunsets, a step-free entrance, and a central location overlooking the St. Clair River, the space is designed to feel open and inviting for everyone.
